Egg – Less Cake
Cake is one of the most favorite food items worldwide , mainly because of its lightness and ease to make . And with the growth in the vegetarian trend , egg – less cakes are more in demand . This a recipe for an egg – less cake given by Mridusmita Deka .
Ingredients :/
The following are the items used in this chocolate cake recipe :
- One cup all purpose flour
- Half a cup powdered sugar
- Half cup refined vegetable oil
- Two Teaspoons of Baking Powder
- About one – forth of a Milkmaid tin
- Three – forth of a cup of Pepsi / Miranda
Method :
Start by mixing the sugar and flour in a bowl . Add the Baking Powder and mix properly . Then add the Milkmaid slowly to the mix . Continue stirring , as lumps will form in the bowl . Thereafter add the Pepsi / Miranda in small amounts and continue stirring slowly to remove the lumps till it becomes thick . Make sure not to add access soft drinks !! Refined oil is the next to be added to the mix followed by about 5 minutes of stirring .
Grease the bowl you will use for baking with a bit of butter and then dust a little flour over it . this makes the cake easy to remove after baking .
Pour the batter into your baking bowl and bake it for about 30 – 40 minutes .
You can garnish it with Gems , icing sugar or dry fruits as per your choice and your egg – less cake is ready to be served . Serve it warm for best results .
