Momo Ghar is one of the oldest eateries serving food quickly and quick bites to the people of Guwahati. This is the eatery that introduced the people of Guwahati to the awesome delicacy called momo since 1993.

Momo is a Tibetan delicacy, while some argue it to have Nepalese origins. But the ones they serve in Momo Ghar belong to neither groups. It is more of an Indianised delicacy created to please the Assamese palette. They have larger and more chunky pieces of meat compared to the usual ones. Apparently the owner of this chain was inspired by a eatery in Shillong serving Chinese Cuisine.

Apart from different varieties of momos, this eatery also serve a few other quick to serve dishes including rolls and fried rice varieties. Chicken and pork appetizers are also served. They now have three outlets in the city and one more in Tezpur.
