Kitchen Bar and Restaurant
One of the best places to hangout with a couple of friends over few drinks , Kitchen Bar and Restaurant is the next place I am writing about . There are three Kitchen Bar and Restaurants in Guwahati , and this review is for the one in Christian Basti .
The food is quite good in Kitchen Bar and Restaurant and their specialty in pork and tandoori items . If you are there , ask for their Gahori Pura or roast pork . And its my guarantee that you won’t regret . The sweetish mayonnaise sauce which is served with tandoori chicken , perfectly complements the meat .
Drinks are priced at a medium range here , neither too high like the upscale resaturates and bars in the city , nor as low as the dhabas . Plus they maintain a large variety of liquor to choose from . Having said that , you may have to show an age proof if they think you are younger than 21 .
The ambiance is another specialty of the Kitchen Bar and Restaurant , Christian Basti . The straw roofed huts in the middle of the concrete city has a charm of its own . But this comes at a price too , mosquitoes . Although they use repellents , sometimes it becomes quite annoying .
Service is one thing which is not upto the expectations here . The drinks are served quite well but the food takes a lot of time and sometimes mistakes are made . The service of Kitchen Bar and Restaurant turns worse when the crowd gets larger . Waiters are well-behaved but slow and sometimes confused .
Open During : Kitchen Bar and Restaurant is open from 2 PM to 10 PM everyday . Closed on dry days .
